Pay: $105,000 - $131,000 (Relocation assistance available)
Work Type: Onsite (no remote) with travel
Travel: 0-5% within Alabama, occasional trips to New Orleans (Corporate HQ) and Nashville/Memphis (Business Unit HQ); mileage reimbursement and monthly car allowance provided.

Job Overview:
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing the installation of HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems, ensuring compliance with code requirements, budgets, and project timelines. The role also requires a deep understanding of safe work practices, especially in healthcare facilities, including strict adherence to infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas installations, ensuring code compliance, budget adherence, and timely project delivery.
- Maintain safe work practices, especially in occupied healthcare settings, by following infection control protocols.
- Analyze project estimates and establish job costing systems with labor, material, and subcontractor cost codes.
- Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders; review submittals to ensure alignment with contract specifications.
- Prepare monthly progress reports and conduct cost reviews to detect project deviations early, keeping stakeholders informed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Oversee the evaluation and development of field staff, including foremen, superintendents, and workers.
- Conduct safety meetings, investigate incidents, and engage employees in promoting safe practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in project management within the mechanical subcontractor space, specializing in commercial HVAC and plumbing.
- Proven ability to manage large commercial construction projects ($5 million+).
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong industry knowledge and awareness of competitors.
- Ability to multitask and handle tasks outside of the immediate job scope when needed.
